Hook & loop cable ties, also known as hook and loop fastener , are a kind of fiber fastening. It usually consists of two fabrics, one with loops on the surface and the other with hooks. When the two pieces of fabric are pressed together firmly, the hooks and loops combine to create a temporary fastening. If you want to separate the two, just push them apart with force.  In fact, the first hook & loop tape was made of pure cotton, but it was later found to be impractical and nylon was used instead.

Very soft, often used on underwear, and can also be used on babies’ clothes without causing skin damage.
