High-silica winding tape
High-silica winding tape is made of high quality High Silica Yarn, it will not burn and will withstand continuous exposure to temperatures. It resists most acids and alkalis and is unaffected by most bleaches and solvents. It is widely used for protection of industrial wires, cables. hoses, tube and pipe and also provide thermal insulation and personnel protection. Also used as a gasket or seal. Also available for Aluminium Coating, Vermiculite Coating, Graphite Coating, Silicone Coating and with self-adhesive backing.

High-silica winding tape retain strength and flexibility in insulation applications at 1800° (982°C.) When spiral wrapped over pipes, hoses or cables, they offer protection against molten metal or extreme radiant heat. High-silica winding tape is completely fireproof and with it's high silica (SiO2) content (96% minimum) . High-silica winding tape protects against contamination in high temperature environments. Silica tapes are available with pressure sensitive adhesive to facilitate wrapping installations. Upon exposure to the service temperatures that justify the selection of silica materials, the organic adhesive decomposes.
